SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s CPC Corp plans to achieve ethylene output at its 720,000 tonne/year No 6 cracker in Linyuan by 15 August, company sources said on Wednesday.

“We are now in the process of feeding in naphtha and if trial operations go well, we should have ethylene product by tonight [on 14 August],” one of the sources said.

The producer started trial operations early this week after obtaining government’s approval.

The start-up of the Linyuan cracker was previously delayed to July from end-June as the producer needed approval from the government to conduct test runs at the facility.
