SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Russia’s SBU Azot restarts its 116,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) plant at Kemerovo on 14 August after a nine-day turnaround that started on 5 August, according to a company source on Wednesday.
The two production lines at its Kemerovo capro plant have a 58,000 tonne/year production capacity each and both lines are running at full capacity after the restart.
“We will start offering cargoes [to China] within the next two days,” the company source added.
Import prices for capro in China have been on an uptrend and spot capro prices rose by $10/tonne to $2,300-2,340/tonne when last assessed on 7 August.
