SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Singapore’s exports of ethylene glycol (EG) rose by 49.2% year on year to 107,034 tonnes in July this year, as shipments to China rose sharply, official data showed on Friday.
The city-state’s EG exports to China rose by 44.9% year on year to 57,170 tonnes in July, according to according to data from International Enterprise (IE) Singapore.
For the first seven months of this year, Singapore’s overall exports of EG was up by 14.7% year on year at 738,415 tonnes.
Singapore’s overall petrochemical exports rose by 21.8% year on year to Singapore dollar (S$) 1.35bn ($1.06bn) in July this year, amid a drop in non-oil domestic exports (NODX).
