SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Ningxia Yinglite Chemical shut down its 150,000 tonne/year caustic soda unit at Shizuishan in Ningxia province on 15 August for scheduled maintenance, a source close to the company said on Friday.
Maintenance for the plant is expected to last about one week and the producer has no stocks to offer to the market during the turnaround, the source said.
The brief shutdown of the caustic soda unit would have minimal impact on the local market, as downstream demand is weak amid ample supply, one market source said.
