Europe August paraxylene confirmed at €1,100/tonne
The European August paraxylene (PX) contract price has been agreed at €1,100/tonne ($1,467/tonne), a rollover from the previous month, as the initial settlement received further support from players on Thursday.
Europe spot benzene firms for August
European benzene spot numbers have gained ground this week amid a growing sense of tightness and firming prices in the US and Asia, sources said on Wednesday.
K+S Q2 adjusted earnings down 25% on lower sales, prices
German fertilizer company K+S said on Tuesday that its second-quarter adjusted group earnings from continued operations have fallen by 25% year on year to €105.9m ($141.2m), weighed by lower sales and prices for its key potash and magnesium products division.
Europe upward pressure on PE buyers gains momentum
The upward pressure that European polyethylene (PE) buyers have been facing since the settlement of the August monthly ethylene contract at a €40/tonne ($53/tonne) increase has been building, sources said on Monday.
