LONDON (ICIS)--Perchloroethylene (Perc) exports from the EU increased by 93% year-on-year, data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.
June exports amounted to 9,831 tonnes, compared with 5,089 tonnes in June 2012.
Despite the increase, market sources recently said competition from Chinese exporters and others outside the region is hampering exports from the continent.
Imports increased year on year to 27 tonnes during the period compared to 22 tonnes in June 2012.
Eurostat import/export data is subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.
