LONDON (ICIS)--Hydrochloric acid (HCl) imports into the EU rose for a second consecutive month in June, year on year data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.
European imports in June grew 38% to 4,559 tonnes, compared with 3,300 tonnes a year earlier.
In May, European HCl imports amounted to 6,598 tonnes, up 86% from 3,547 tonnes in May 2012.
In April, imports totalled 3,780 tonnes, a 32% decrease, compared with 5,571 tonnes in April 2012.
Eurostat import/export data are subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.
