LONDON (ICIS)--EU bisphenol A (BPA) imports from the rest of the world increased in June year on year, while exports dropped compared with the same month in 2012, the latest figures by statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.

Imports went up by 55% year on year in June, while exports dropped by 95%.

European BPA producers have cut output in response to lacklustre regional and global demand resulting in the drop in exports.

Imports increased because of lower priced offers from Russia and Asia.
