LONDON (ICIS)--EU titanium dioxide (TiO2) imports fell year on year in June 2013, while exports increased slightly over the same period, data from statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.
Exports slightly increased by 1% compared to the same period in 2012 to 32,914 tonnes, the data showed.
Imports fell by 17% compared with June 2012 to 8,556 tonnes.
The European TiO2 market is balanced and producers have been lowering inventory levels in an attempt to tighten supply and raise prices.
Eurostat import/export data is subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.
