LONDON (ICIS)--EU cyclohexane (CX) imports fell by 51% in June year on year, according to data from statistics agency Eurostat on Monday.

The fall came amid a period of weak demand. Downstream polyamide consumption was low throughout the second quarter becuase of poor macroeconomic conditions limiting consumer purchasing power.

CX exports to the rest of the world in June rose to 3,003 tonnes, from 447 tonnes in the same period a year before. Although the change is significant, CX export volumes are low.
