Jiangsu Lianhai’s China etac lines shut for overhaul

MELBOURNE (ICIS)-- Jiangsu Lianhai Biological Technology’s two ethyl acetate (etac) lines at Nantong in Jiangsu province are currently shut for maintenance, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

The two lines with a combined capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year were taken off line on 19 August and are scheduled to be restarted on the weekend of 24-25 August, the industry source said.

Other major etac producers in China include Jiangsu Sopo, Wuxi Baichuan, Shandong Jinyimeng, Jiangmen Handsome and Shanghai Huayi Group.
