LONDON (ICIS)--French petrochemicals engineering firm Technip and South African petrochemicals major Sasol have formed an alliance for front-end engineering on future Sasol gas-to-liquids (GTL) projects, the companies said on Wednesday.
The alliance also allows for Technip’s participation in the execution of future GTL projects, they said.
The alliance will be managed out of Technip’s operating centre in ?xml:namespace>
“We are confident that, in working closely together, the design and execution expertise of Technip will significantly further enhance the robustness of our GTL value proposition as we grow our business where our technology strength lies,” said Lean Strauss, a senior Sasol group executive.
Sasol owns a GTL technology for converting natural gas into petroleum products such as naphtha and diesel fuel.
