HOUSTON (ICIS)--Three people died after ammonia leaked from the Cosoleacaque-Salina Cruz pipeline in Oaxaca, Mexico, state-owned energy company Pemex said late on Tuesday.
The leak also caused about 1,500 people to be evacuated, the company said.
The pipeline leak originated from a break caused by the private company Cuadro Rojo, which was expanding a highway, Pemex said.
Pemex had controlled the leak.
