China’s Sichuan Jiuyuan to start up methanol plant in November

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sichuan Jiuyuan Agrochem plans to start up its 500,000 tonne/year natural gas-based methanol plant at Sichuan in southwest China at the end of November, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company is expected to achieve on-spec production at the plant in early December, the source said.

Construction of the plant started in December 2011, the source said.

Sichuan Jiuyuan Agrochem is a subsidiary of KO YO Group (Hong Kong).
