HOUSTON (ICIS)--US Dow Chemical began the restart process at its No. 7 Freeport cracker in Texas, sources said on Wednesday.
The cracker was shut down on 20 August, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), because of maintenance being performed on a steam line.
The No. 7 cracker has an ethylene capacity of 612,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
Attempts to reach a company spokesperson for comment were unsuccessful.
