SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JSR Corp will run its 35,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) plant at Yokkaichi, Japan, at a reduced rate of 80% capacity until the end of September because of weak market conditions,  a company source said.

“We have cut the production rate to 80% capacity because of weak demand in China and India and we need to control our stock levels,” the source added.

NBR prices were stable at $1,950-2,000/tonne ($1,463-1,500/tonne) CIF (cost, insurance & freight) China on 22 August.
