Germany's Evonik completes expansion project at Indonesia plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Evonik has completed its capacity expansion project for raw materials, additives and ingredients at the firm’s plant in Bekasi, Indonesia, the Germany-based specialty chemicals maker said on Thursday.

“With this investment, Evonik is increasing its capacity for surfactants and esters used in hair care, skincare, and industrial applications,” the company said in a statement.

The investment is aimed at “serving personal and household care industries in southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand”, it said.

Further details of the expansion project and capacity details of the plant were not disclosed in the statement.
