LONDON (ICIS)--Arkema restarted its 90,000 tonne/year methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant in Rho, Italy this week, following a three-week planned maintenance turnaround, a source at the French-headquartered specialty chemicals producer said on Thursday.
“Everything went okay, we restarted production as scheduled,” the source said.
Nearly all MMA is polymerised to make homopolymers and copolymers, with the largest application being the casting, moulding or extrusion of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) or modified polymers.
