MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Korea Alcohol Industrial plans to shut its 85,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac)/butyl acetate (butac) swing plant in Ulsan in October for a turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
The South Korean producer has yet to finalise the dates of the maintenance shutdown, which is expected to last around 10 days, the source said.
Korea Alcohol is the country's sole producer of etac and butac.
Its plant was last taken off line in early May for a catalyst change.
