LONDON (ICIS)--Austria-based Atmosa is experiencing production problems at its phthalic anhydride (PA) plant in Schwechat following a recent planned turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
The producer is planning to hold a further shutdown on 10-13 September to resolve problems relating to the distillation process, the source said, adding that the unit is currently operating at reduced rates.
The producer restarted PA production on 17-20 August after a catalyst change at the plant, which has a nameplate capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year.
