LONDON (ICIS)--Chlor-alkali producer Vinnolit will undertake planned maintenance at its Knapsack facility in Germany from 14-24 September, a company source said on Friday.

The Germany-based firm produces chlorine, caustic soda, ethylene dichloride (EDC) and vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) at the Knapsack unit.

Vinnolit said it is building stock of caustic soda inventory ahead of the planned shutdown.

The Knapsack facility produces 250,000 tonne/year of chlorine and 275,000 dry metric tonne/year of caustic soda.
