SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jinxi Petrochemical has shut its 150,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Huludao in Liaoning province for regular maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The PP plant was taken off line on 1 September, almost two weeks ahead of the producer’s original schedule in mid-September.
However, the source did not give any reason for moving the shutdown date forward.
Maintenance for the PP plant will last for two months, the source added.
The plant’s turnaround may not have any significant impact on the domestic PP market because of its small capacity, local distributors said.
