SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical plans to shut its 40,000 tonne/year ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) plant in Chiba prefecture for scheduled maintenance next week, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant will be shut until mid-October, the source said.
The company will not be supplying any spot material for exports in the meantime, and prefers to sell in the more lucrative domestic market.
