LONDON (ICIS)--Total confirmed on Wednesday that it is to shut down the naphtha cracker at its site in Carling, northern France.
The decision to close the unit, which the France-based oil and gas major described as “acutely loss-making”, will reduce headcount at the site from 554 to 344.
According to ICIS, the cracker has a production capacity of 320,000 tonnes/year of ethylene.
