HOUSTON (ICIS)--US August ethylene contracts reached an initial settlement at an increase of 1.1%, sources said on Wednesday.
The initial settlement puts August ethylene contracts at 46.0 cents/lb ($1,014/tonne, €771/tonne), up by 0.5 cent/lb from July’s settlement of 45.5 cents/lb.
The increase is smaller than projected by some, and is largely supported by higher feedstock costs and steady spot prices.
