LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Thursday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.
CRUDE: October WTI: $107.83/bbl, up 60 cents/bbl. October BRENT: $115.36/bbl, up 45 cents/bbl
Crude futures gained after Barack Obama secured support from key US political figures on his plans for a limited military strike to degrade the Syria’s chemical weapon’s capability.
NAPHTHA: $957-959/tonne, stable
The cargo range is stable. October swaps were assessed at $947-948/tonne.
BENZENE: $1,320-1,340/tonne, up $10/tonne
September bids and offers opened firmer in line with gains seen in Asia and further upward movement on crude oil futures.
STYRENE: $1,880-1,925/tonne, steady
The market is subdued so far, with firming upstream and Asian numbers keeping buyers on the sidelines.
