HOUSTON (ICIS)--US diammonium phosphate (DAP) exports in July 2013 were up 20% from the same month a year earlier, according to data made available by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Friday.
US DAP exports increased to 281,753 tonnes in July from 235,092 tonnes in July 2012. Exports were up in July mainly because of increased demand from Brazil.
July exports were decreased from 356,230 tonnes in June 2013.
India at 102,203 tonnes was the major destination of US DAP exports, followed by Brazil at 45,352 and Argentina at 31,000.
Other destinations included Japan, Mexico, and Colombia.
