US July PC exports fell by 14% year on year

HOUSTON (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>US exports of polycarbonate (PC) in July fell by 14% compared with the same month in 2012, according to data released on Friday by the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
Exports were 32,440 tonnes, compared with 37,754 tonnes a year ago.
Month on month, exports rose by 6%. Exports in June were 30,576 tonnes.
The most US ACN exports went to China (9,919 tonnes), Mexico (9,533 tonnes) and Canada (2,767 tonnes), the ITC said.
US imports of PC rose in July by 10% to 5,818 tonnes from 5,279 tonnes a year ago, the ITC reported.
Imports were basically flat when compared with June, up by 3 tonnes from 5,815 tonnes.
The countries that exported the most PC to the US in July, according to the ITC, were Belgiun (1,063 tonnes), Canada (895 tonnes) and Thailand (872 tonnes).
