MELBOURNE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Kumho P&B Chemicals plans to shut its 55,000 tonne/year methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) plant in Yeosu in October for maintenance, market sources said on Tuesday.
The duration of the planned overhaul is about three weeks, the sources said.
Kumho began commercial operations at the expanded MIBK unit, which is the largest plant in Asia by capacity, on 10 December 2012.
