SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Ningbo Heyuan cut the operating rate of its 400,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant in Zhejiang province by 30% on 13 September, a company source said on Friday.
The unit is now operating at 70% of its nameplate capacity, the source added.
The reduction in the operating rate is part of company’s intentions to carry out a short maintenance of the plant this month.
However, no other details were immediately available.
The lower production may lead to tightening of spot availability of PP raffia grade in the market, sources said.
