SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Petrochemical Industry Co (KPIC) is on track to shut its Onsan naphtha cracker and olefins conversion unit (OCU) on 5 October for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The turnaround at both facilities will last until the end of October, he said.
Derivative polymer units at the site will also undergo maintenance at the same time, but details of the shutdown were not provided.
KPIC operates three high density polyethylene (HDPE) lines with a combined capacity of 530,000 tonnes/year and three polypropylene (PP) lines with a total production capacity of 470,000 tonnes/year at Ulsan, the source said.
