LONDON (ICIS)--Austria-based Atmosa has begun the restart process at its phthalic anhydride (PA) plant in Schwechat, a company source said on Friday.
The producer began a short turnaround on 10 September to resolve problems relating to the plant’s distillation process, with restart scheduled for 13 September.
The unit had been operating at reduced rates owing to production problems following a catalyst change. The previous planned shutdown ended on 17-20 August.
Atmosa's Schwechat PA unit has a nameplate capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year.
