HOUSTON (ICIS)--Magellan Midstream has launched an open season to assess interest in a possible refined petroleum products pipeline in ?xml:namespace>
The pipeline would transport up to 75,000 bbl/day of gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel from Magellan’s terminal in Fort Smith, Arkansas, about 160 miles to Little Rock, giving the state capital access to refined products from Midwest and Gulf Coast refineries, the company said.
If the open season garners sufficient interest and subsequent permits and regulatory approvals are obtained, the pipeline could be operational by the third quarter of 2015, Magellan said.
Customers interested in the pipeline’s open season have until 17:00 Central time (23:00 GMT) on 16 October to submit binding commitments.
