HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Friday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Oct WTI: $104.67/bbl, down $1.72; Nov Brent: $109.22/bbl, up 46 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures sold down on length liquidation ahead of the October contract going off the board at the end of the session. A stronger dollar and reports that Libyan oil production was improving also pressured crude prices, extending Thursday’s losses. The November WTI contract about to become the spot month settled at $104.75/bbl, down $1.11.

RBOB: Oct $2.6842/gal, down 1.30 cents/gal
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures settled lower on a drop in crude futures and a boost in near-term supply coming from the transition from summer- to winter-grade gasoline.

NATURAL GAS: Oct: $3.687/MMBtu: down 3.3 cents
The October front month contract on the NYMEX natural gas futures market closed the week down just under 1%, under the $3.70/MMBtu mark for the first time in five sessions,  as milder near-term weather forecasts coupled with concerns over near-record production levels left traders in a bearish mood.

ETHANE: lower at 24.75 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices were slightly lower, following most of the energy complex down. However, ethane moved very little during the week, shrugging off volatility in the commodity space, as demand from crackers has been stable.

AROMATICS: toluene down at $3.80-3.98/gal, mixed xylenes wider at $4.10-4.14/gal
US toluene prices were discussed at $3.80-3.98/gal FOB on Friday, sources said. The range was down from $3.92-4.05/gal FOB (free on board) the previous session. Meanwhile, US mixed xylenes (MX) spot prices were discussed at $4.10-4.14/gal FOB, sources said. The range was slightly wider from $4.10-4.13/gal FOB the previous session as offers rose by 1 cent/gal.

OLEFINS: ethylene done lower at 52 cents/lb, PGP done lower at 66 cents/lb
US September ethylene was done at 52.000 cents/lb late on Friday, higher than the previous reported trade at 51.625 cents/lb but lower than a deal at 52.500 cents/lb a day ago. US polymer-grade propylene (PGP) traded twice at 66.0 cents/lb, down from the previous reported trade at 66.5 cents/lb.
