SINGAPORE(ICIS)--China’s Yunnan Salt & Chemical shut its 100,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) on 23 September for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.
The maintenance shutdown is expected to last for about five days, and it will be restarted around 28 September, a source added.
Maintenance will involve repairing an electrical fault as well as a regular turnaround, according to the source.
Supply is not expected to be affected as the company has stocked sufficient inventories for its customers.
