SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's Hanwha Chemical Corp is planning to shut its 25,000 tonne/year ECH plant in Yeosu from 14 October to 7 November for regular maintenance, a company source said late on Tuesday.
The turnaround will not affect supply to its customers as the company will stock up ample inventory beforehand, the source said.
The other ECH producer in South Korea is Samsung Fine Chemicals, which started up a 60,000 tonne/year plant in Ulsan last week to bring its total production capacity to 120,000 tonnes/year.
