HOUSTON (ICIS)--Romeo RIM on Wednesday received the 2013 Polyurethanes Innovation Award from the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI).

Romeo RIM developed a system that hides the long-glass fibres in its polyurethane (PU) composites, opening up markets for the material among farm-equipment and heavy-truck manufacturers.

The award recognises companies and individuals whose vision and perseverance brings new products, technologies and initiatives to the marketplace, the CPI said.

TSE Industries and INVISTA were also finalists for this year’s award.
