HOUSTON (ICIS)--US PetroLogistics confirmed on Thursday that it will shut down its Houston propane dehydrogenation (PDH) unit on 28 September.
A company source confirmed the shutdown, which was announced during the company’s second quarter earnings call in late July. The purpose of the shutdown is to perform planned maintenance.
The plant is expected to be down for 35 days, the source said, although the duration is subject to new discoveries of issues during the maintenance.
PetroLogistics’ PDH unit has a propylene capacity of 544,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
