LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European October ethylene contract price has been agreed at €1,225/tonne ($1,655/tonne), down by €35/tonne reflecting the decline in feedstock and also a weaker euro against the dollar, a major consumer said on Friday.
The contract, which is agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis was between the major consumer and a major supplier and is fully confirmed.
Confirmation from a second major consumer is pending.
($1 = €0.74)
