LONDON (ICIS)--The European propylene contract price for October has been fully confirmed at €1,110/tonne ($1,500/tonne), down by €40/tonne because of weaker feedstock, market sources said on Friday.

The contract, which is agreed on a free delivered (FD) northwest Europe (NWE) basis, was confirmed by two consumers – one integrated the other non-integrated – and two major suppliers.

Some propylene players have expressed surprise at the extent of the decrease having expected something akin to the €35/tonne seen for October ethylene.
