SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Alcohol Industrial plans to shut its 85,000 tonne/year ethyl acetate (etac)/butyl acetate (butac) swing plant at Ulsan in the second week of October for turnaround, a company source said on Friday.
The plant is expected be off line for around 10 days, the source said.
The company is the sole producer of etac and butac in South Korea.
Etac and butac are widely used as solvent in the paints and coating industry.
