SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Hyosung Corp has shut its 180,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Ulsan at the end of September, a company source said on Monday.
The shutdown will last one week for regular maintenance, the source added.
The company has a separate 200, 000 tonne/year PP plant at Ulsan, operating at full rate, the source said.
This turnaround may have little impact on the market because of its short duration and producer’s inventory stocking activities before the shutdown, market sources said.
