SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PetroChina will start operating the eastern section of its third West-East natural gas pipeline in 2014, industries sources said on Monday.
All of the 17 tunnels in Fujian province had been holed through by 29 September, which extend 14,427 metres in total, according to a statement from PetroChina.
The third West-East natural gas pipeline, with a total investment of yuan (CNY) 125bn ($20bn), can transport 30bn cubic metres (cbm)/year of gas after completion, PetroChina said.
The construction of the third gas pipeline started on 16 October 2012, and the pipeline is expected to come on stream in 2015.
