LONDON (ICIS)--Three miners were still missing on Tuesday evening, following an accident at a potash mine in Thuringia, Germany, the state’s government said.

In an update on its website, the government reported that four miners had been rescued without injuries and rescue workers continued to search for the remaining three.

The accident occurred at around 13:00 local time during blasting operations at the Unterbreizbach site of German potash major K+S. The blasting set off large amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas.
