Cargill, Usina Sao Joao JV to inaugurate ethanol plant in Brazil

CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--Brazil's SJC Bioenergia, a joint venture between major agribusiness Cargill and Brazilian sugar and ethanol producer Usina Sao Joao, will inaugurate on Wednesday its second ethanol plant, SJC said.

The plant, which is in Cachoeira Dourada, Goias, will produce 220m litres/year of ethanol, it said, adding reais (R)500m ($225m, €167m) was invested in the plant.

SJC has another plant in Quirinopolis, Goias, a spokesperson for Cargill confirmed.
