SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) is currently running its 515,000 tonne/year I-4 No 1 cracker in Map Ta Phut at 90% capacity as planned this week, a company source said on Thursday.
The source did not comment on when the plant, which mainly uses naphtha as a feedstock, can achieve full rates.
Separately, PTTGC is expected to have a turnaround at its 460,000 tonne/year I-1 gas cracker at the same site in the first quarter of next year.
The exact shutdown dates have yet to be decided, the source added.
Besides the above two crackers, PTTGC also runs a 400,000 tonne/year I-4 No 2 gas cracker and a 1m tonne/year gas cracker at Map Ta Phut.
