LONDON (ICIS)--Initial US September styrene contract settlements have emerged at increases of 1.25-3.00 cents/lb ($28-66/tonne, €21-49/tonne) this week, according to trade sources on Thursday.

The initial increases followed the 23 cents/gal increase in the September feedstock benzene contract.

Additional September styrene contract settlements are expected this week and next week as well.

Although the October benzene contract settled 3 cents/gal lower earlier this week, styrene suppliers were not heard to have come out with any price increases.
