LONDON (ICIS)--The European styrene customer reference price (CRP) for October has decreased €92/tonne from the previous month to settle at €1,458/tonne ($1,997/tonne), the producer and one of the buyers involved said on Friday.
“It was the same adjustment as we saw on the FOB [free on board] barge number,” the buyer said, citing the arrival of US imports as they key factor in pushing prices down this month.
The styrene CRP was agreed on a free carrier (FCA) Rotterdam basis.
