BERLIN (ICIS)--Global adhesives demand should grow by 5-6% in 2014, while the European market will grow by 2-3%, said one adhesives manufacturer on Sunday.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 47th annual European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) meeting in Berlin, the source said global growth would be consistent with - or, above – GDP in 2014.

General sentiment is that the market will see a slight improvement in demand next year compared with 2013.

“People are hungry for the business,” the source said.

Acrylic acid (AA) and acrylate esters are used in the production of adhesives and sealants.

The EPCA meeting runs from 5-9 October.
