SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Toray Plastics Malaysia plans to shut two of its acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) lines for maintenance in early November, a source close to the company said.

The two lines, each having a capacity of 55,000 tonnes/year, will be shut for around four weeks, the source said.

The company operates a total of six ABS lines in Prai, Penang state, for a total annual output of 330,000 tonnes.

Other ABS producers in Asia include Styrolution and Integrated Refinery Petrochemical Complex (IRPC) in Thailand.
